A 14-year-old in Sanford, Maine has been giving back for years and now he's helping someone in town.

Grayson Perro, from Sanford, is 14 years old. Most 14-year-old boys are very obsessed with video games, sports, YouTube videos, and the like. Not many organize a 5k and add a craft fair to raise money. But then again, that's what makes Grayson so special.

Grayson is hosting his 4th Annual 5k walk for children who are battling cancer called, 'Heart, Peace, and Love For Kids 5k Walk'. This year he has chosen a child from Sanford. Her name is Annabelle. She was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma in December of 2023 and has since been receiving chemotherapy every 2 weeks (her 14th round/ last round is coming up in 2 weeks!). She had to undergo a rotationplasty in March of 2024 and recently got her prosthetic so she can walk again! Rotationplasty is a surgical procedure that replaces an above-the-knee amputation with a below-the-knee amputation.

Grayson is going bigger this year and adding a craft fair to the walk so that more people can participate and find something they would enjoy! There's a lot going on, it's like a mini fair this teen has put together including raffles, Kona Ice, face painting, vendors,
