Lori and Jeff have been shucking clams for about 10 years...and have lost every single year. Jeff wasn't around this year - so this is Jenna.

And Jenna friggin' rocks!!! We won that sucker!

It was amazing...in third place was AMANDA HILL AND SAMANTHA YORK from NewsCenter Maine! Third place?? Mmmmm, I'm thinking Samantha may have actually listened to my sage advice when I said that the belly and neck MUST be separated. You see, they only count if they are actually connected.

It's hard work! Jenna walked away with about oh...6 cuts on her hand. Just a few needed a band aid.

I said that I was going to sleep with the trophy...I did not lie.

Here's how it all shaped up:

• 4th place (only 4 teams this year) WMTW with Travis Lee and Ted McInerney (who is allergic to clams!)
• 3rd place with 27 clams - NewsCenter Maine with Amanda Hill and Samantha York  (who have won this competition about 6-7 times...a powerhouse. Let me rephrase, Amanda Hill and her partner have been a powerhouse!)
• 2nd place with 28 clams - WGME13 with Jennifer Long and Dan Lampariello. WGME13 won last year...and hey were close this year..but no banana. I mean clam.
• 1st place with 29 clams - Q97.9 with Lori Voornas and Jenna Pursley! First time winners!!!!!! 

I was so happy I actually just started taking pictures with anyone!

It was a hot day...also one of the greatest days ever. History was made on this the 54th Annual Yarmouth Clam Festival!
