Back in December, it was announced that Maine-native Luke Holden would be opening his Luke's Lobster franchise to Portland's Old Port with massive plans to open a flagship location. A little more than six months since that announcement, we're all about to see the results.

According to Boston Eater, Luke's Lobster will open for dinner service on Wednesday, June 5th at 60 Portland Pier. Speaking of the Portland Pier, it's been under construction for more than two years with full scale renovations to make this Luke's Lobster location a full reality. As for the restaurant, it will be a spectacle. It will offer 360-degree ocean views of Portland Harbor with enough room to sit up to 200 guests.

The restaurant plans to feature several of the menu items that has made Luke's Lobster such a hit from coast to coast, with some tasty additions as well. The restaurant will feature two full bars with a hope on capitalizing on Portland's immense love of happy hour.
