Mac’s Grill in Auburn, Maine Will Be Closed For a Week
Mac's Grill on Minot Avenue in Auburn has been a popular place to eat for the Lewiston/Auburn area and many other surrounding towns since 1994. They've got a great menu of steaks, ribs, chicken and seafood. Like mac 'n cheese? I highly recommend the shrimp mac 'n cheese with smoked cheddar, bacon, and of course grilled shrimp. That's just one of five mac 'n cheese types to choose from.
It's such a staple of Auburn that it gets people's attention when they announce they are closing for a week.
In a post on Mac's Grill's Facebook page, they announced that they would be closed from October 3 to October 11 due to staffing shortages, something that has been very common for many Maine businesses as of late. However, that may not be directly related to just the Auburn restaurant.
In the comments, Molly Nelson notes: "I believe they run a sit-down restaurant at the Fryeburg Fair so that's probably where all the staff will be."
Kaitlyn Crocket confirmed Molly's comment: "Molly Nelson you are correct! We really could use some help in the kitchen and give our owners a break from cooking, if anyone knows of anyone looking for a job cooking please tell them to apply!"
It's unclear which of the two restaurants Mac's staff will be running, Fandangle's or Emily's, but once the fair wraps up and they get a little rest, Mac's Grill will be back open in Auburn on October 12 and ready to serve you.
