Maggie from Portland Is Why We March for Babies

Little Maggie is a healthy happy almost 2-year-old toddler...thanks to the March of Dimes.

Maggie's mom Sarah was diagnosed with cancer at 14 weeks into her pregnancy. While fighting cancer, she knew Maggie would be premature.

She made sure she was ready and that Maggie got the greatest of care at the Barbara Bush Children's hospital NICU at Maine Medical Center.

One of the events happening at the Portland walk is the NICU Family Reunion. It's a chance for parents to meet up with their nurses and other families who have gone through the process of making sure a premature baby grows up to be happy and healthy.

Maggie will be two next month and she is very happy and healthy. And mom is cancer free...
