According to The CDC, Hepatitis A is a disease of the liver and can be passed on from contaminated food or water. Symptoms vary from fatigue to stomach pain, jaundice and more. There is a vaccine to prevent it but one employee at a small grocer in Waterville suffered from the disease and now the Maine CDC is warning consumers about potential exposure.

Fox 23 reported that those who shopped at Joseph's Market on Route 201 in Waterville between December 27h and January 9th may have been exposed via prepared food.

The CDC recommends either throwing out the food or cooking it thoroughly.
