Maine Company Gifting 10-Foot Tall Sign to Lewiston
There's been a mystery for passersby in Lewiston recently. People walking or driving by Veterans Memorial Park have been trying to figure out what's being installed. After weeks of preparing a new platform, people wondered out loud if the city may be installing an outdoor stage or building out the park for a different purpose. As it turns out, both are true. Veterans Memorial Park will be home to a new concrete stage for live events, but it's also set to feature one of the largest and most impressive free standing signs in all of Maine.
Shared on Facebook by Neokraft Signs Inc, to celebrate the company's 75th anniversary in business, they are donating eight 10-foot tall letters that will spell out 'Lewiston' to the city. Neokraft saw their 75th anniversary as an opportunity to give back to Lewiston for helping them become and maintain business for nearly a century, and the new letter display is bound to be an eye-catcher.
The project is ongoing, with only the letter N installed so far. Neokraft plans to have all eight letters installed prior to the 4th of July holiday weekend when Lewiston is holding Liberty Fest. Some of the photos shared by Neokraft online show how impressive and noticeable the letters will be once they are all fully installed. The large-scale sign is also sure to be a huge hit later this year, when Lewiston holds its annual Great Falls Balloon Festival on August 19-21.
