Maine's fair season is heading toward its grand finale.
With only eight official fairs left on the 2024 calendar, according to The Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs, this is your last chance to indulge in everything from fried dough to thrilling rides and more.
What better way to end summer in the Pine Tree State and head into fall than by hitting up these events.
Here are the final fairs of the season, with only the Fryeburg Fair extending a few days into October:
- September 5-8: Clinton Lions Agricultural Fair
- September 6-8: Litchfield Fair
- September 11-14: Oxford Fair
- September 13-15: New Portland Lions Fair
- September 15-21: Farmington Fair
- September 20-22: Common Ground Country Fair
- September 22-28: Cumberland Fair
- Sept 29-October 6: Fryeburg Fair
How many of these will you be hitting up?
Did you know it will be the 152nd Cumberland Fair? According to the fair's website, the first of its fair dated back to 1869. How incredible is that?
Or what about the thousands of animals at the Fryeburg Fair? Their website states that over 3,000 animals will be there.
