Maine’s Favorite Sesame Street Character is Shockingly Not Big Bird OR Elmo
This is hilarious that this was even a study, but here I am writing about it and here you are reading about it. When you hear Sesame Street, you immediately think of Big Bird right? Or maybe even Kermit the Frog, maybe Elmo? Not in Maine. Our most-loved Sesame Street character is actually Grover according to a new study done by coventrydirect.com. But, how did they calculate such a wild opinion?
"To get a closer look at just the Sesame Street crowd, we ran a similar analysis using Google Trends data from the past 12 months to see which character is the top-searched in each state" coventry explained.
Grover? We chose Grover.. the random blue dude on the show?! Well, apparently Maine isn't the only state who adores Grover's blue charm because Vermont and Nebraska are the other two states out of 3 who adore him the most.
Honestly at first I didn't understand Maine's choice. I would have went with either Kermit the Frog or even Miss Piggy since those ones are the more popular ones we always hear about. But then the more I researched Grover's character, which according to coventrydirect is a well-meaning hero who never gives up, it all started making more sense. I like Maine's choice now. Never judge a book by it's cover, I'm all in on our decision to vote the earnest Grover as their fav!
