Maine Is Getting a ‘SchoonerFest’ in 2017!

WGME-13 is reporting that 2017 will see the first-ever "SchoonerFest" right here in Portland.

Organized by Tall Ships Portland, the SchoonerFest will feature five tall ships, and will run from June 24-26 in greater Casco Bay.

Spectators will be able watch the events for free on the Eastern Prom at Fort Allen Park, and the president of Tall Ships Portland says this will be the first schooner race in Portland Harbor in about 100 years.
