Major League Baseball, the NBA, and the NHL wrapped up successful seasons this year along with Major League Soccer.

The only sport to be shaky throughout its season is the NFL, curious with the success of the Major League Sports finding a formula that they can sustain through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well, it looks like the Maine Mariners are looking to get back on the ice for the 2021 season in January, according to WGME.

They haven't announced how they will pull this off yet, but if they're talking about a January face-off, per the news station, there likely is some plan in the works.

As you know, the NBA had their fans watching on screens to simulate some in-person audience, and you have seen that talk shows have adopted that same formula. Also, we await the presidential election's pending outcome and the policy that will be in place for quarantines or lack thereof. Finally, most professional sports have TV deals, even the WNBA, which plays in front of smaller crowds than its Bigger Brother the NBA.

In contrast, the Maine Mariners do not have one in place. Will they get one in time? TV deals are often the most lucrative ventures any professional sports franchise can get into to sustain their incomes, and the arena pretty much pays for itself with the fans and the concessions.

What are your thoughts? Will you be going to see the Mariners play if they get back on the ice?
