Mainers love pickleball so much that we are one of the most obsessed states in the country!
According to the Action Network, pickleball continues to be the fastest-growing sport in America for three years running. In fact, in just the past three years, participation levels in the sport have grown by a whopping 223.5%!
Maine is obsessed with pickleball!
With this huge jump in pickleball's popularity, the Action Network wanted to find out which state is the most pickleball-obsessed. They looked at three main things for every state: The number of places to play pickleball, online searches for pickleball-related terms, and Google Trends data for pickleball's popularity. That put Maine as 4th!
Maine is not known for its great weather, so the fact that we are in the top 5 states for popularity is even more impressive. Maine has 122 pickleball venues. We are constantly searching for pickleball online 166,000 times in the past year. Google Trends scores Maine's interest in pickleball as 42/100. Our New England neighbor, Vermont, came in as the most obsessed!

Pickleball is not just for old Mainers
