Maine State Police Dog Sniffs Out Stolen Handgun, Watches & Jewelry During Arrest
The Maine State Police shared a story this week on their official Facebook page about a K9 retrieving a bunch of stolen property during a search in Limington.
According to their post on Facebook, the York County Sheriff’s department had two subjects in custody and believed that they may have ditched stolen property from the Burglary prior to being arrested.
Maine State Police K9 "Ibo" was deployed for an evidence search, and within a matter of minutes alerted on a thick thorn bush. Hidden in the bush, out of sight was a 9mm handgun, several watches along with other assorted pieces of jewelry that were stolen from the residence.
K9 Ibo recovered all of the stolen items from the Burglary and the property will be returned to the owner.
Good dog!
