According to the Portland Press Herald, a lot of new hires would replace former employees who were let go after restaurants had to close down dining rooms and bars in March because of coronavirus.

There will be social distancing floor stickers and protective barriers where you order your food. The precautions that you see almost everywhere these days. Then for employees, masks, gloves, and wellness and temperature checks. The kids play places will stay closed and some of the tables and seating have been closed or removed to keep everyone at least 6 feet apart.

Ron Lydick owns 15 McDonald's in Maine and says,

It was important for us to stay open (for) drive-thru, takeout and delivery to serve our communities throughout the COVID-19 crisis. As local business owners, we’re proud to provide employment and educational opportunities to our crew and look forward to welcoming new employees to our McFamily this summer.
