Meredith Returns to The Q Morning Show For an Epic April Fools’ Day
No, it wasn't a rerun! Meredith made a triumphant return this morning on The Q Morning Show for the most epic April Fools' Day ever!
So here's how it all came together. Lori, Jeff, and I (Brittany) wanted to do something fun for April Fools' Day. But what? It is COVID times, are people ready to laugh? Or be pranked? We wanted to do something fun and harmless.
I suggested maybe we do the show like it was a decade ago. Good ol' 2011. News stories from 2011, music from 2011. And then Lori came in with the most brilliant idea.
"What if we brought Meredith back?"
Meredith was on The Q Morning Show for about 15 years before moving on a moving down south. When Lori approached her with the idea of a surprise throwback comeback she was 100% on board.
We worked hard to keep everything on the down-low, brought back the entire sound and vibe of the show from a decade ago. We wanted you to turn on the radio and feel like nothing had changed and this was another normal day...in 2011.
Back in 2011, Jeff had a toddler at home, Lori hadn't come out publically, and I was a student at Southern Maine Community College just wishing I could be part of The Q Morning Show. We talked about the host of The Apprentice, Donald Trump, the birth certificate controversy with President Barack Obama, and discussed the 2011 movie Contagion. Imagine a global pandemic?----HOW UNTHINKABLE!
