Today the United States Senate did something right and together for once. They passed a bill that would protect our great American outdoors, and all of the parks that we hold near and dear in the State of Maine. Here is what Senator Suzanna Collins said on her Facebook page.

"The Senate passed the Great American Outdoors Act, a bipartisan bill I cosponsored to provide full funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and to address the deferred maintenance backlog at our national parks, including Acadia National Park. This legislation will help to ensure both current, and future generations can enjoy the beauty of our natural resources in Maine and across the country."

Senator Angus King released a video on the WBAI Facebook page saying that way this bill is essential to Maine and States like it.

What are your thoughts on this bill? Would you hope it becomes a Law?
