NSFW: Someone Created A ‘Judgmental’ Map Of Maine And Everyone Will Be Offended

We've stated many times that Maine people are very protective of their Maine life. Whether it be the neighborhood they live in, the town they call home, the region of Maine they've spent the most time in. It doesn't matter, it's sacred to us.

So when a listener of ours passed along this post they'd seen on Reddit, you can imagine our astonishment.

Now if you're going to post something like this map, you've got to be a longtime Mainer. Chances are, you've also traveled to every corner of the state and seen some things. Rather than towns and cities being named on this map, it's just generalizations and stereotypes but man, some of them hit too close to home, right?

Calling Portland, Maine "discount Portland, Oregon" feels like a solid left hook. Calling Old Orchard Beach "discount Jersey Shore" probably isn't going to sit well with anyone in that town. However, whomever created this map didn't hold back on language or stereotypes when it came to other Maine places. You know that emoji with the bulging eyes? You'll have that reaction to some of these.

But there it is, a true a**hole's map of Maine. Oh, and sorry to The County, but being described as "literally nothing" isn't far off from the truth.
