Popular Wedding Venue In Maine Is Closing It’s Doors In December
What was originally built as a corporate retreat in Northport and quickly became a popular destination for weddings is closing their doors in December, according to an article in the Associated Press. Point Lookout was originally developed by MBNA just over 20 years ago. When MBNA was sold to Bank Of America in 2006 the property was sold.
Point Lookout was recently sold and the new owners say they will close the Point Lookout Conference Center in Northport in December. The article reports the current owners say the property is "not financially viable" as a business. However they have hired a hotel asses management company to take a look at the property the article says.
