Where in Portland, Maine is There a Place Open 365 Days a Year?

Where in Portland, Maine will you find a place open year-round that's NOT L.L. Bean?

It's a bar called Fore Play Sports Pub in Portland's Old Port. If you've been in Southern Maine for any length of time and been to the Old Port - you've been to Fore Play. But I had no idea it was open 365 days a year!

I'm pretty sure my short stature and need for a drink, made me miss this sign the dozens of times I've stopped in. I have been for that one more drink or an afternoon sneak. But Fore Play has been around for almost 30 years and is a huge favorite among sports fans.

There are two levels with 34 TVs and if your game isn't on, they'll get it on. It's got the exact menu that you would want at a sports pub: burgers, wings, pizza, chili, and more.

I haven't tested the theory that this IS open 365 days a year, and I have heard that they were closed on Mondays. But that was in the winter, so it could have been crappy weather. I mean, besides L.L. Bean, I couldn't name another place that's open 365 days a year in Maine.

And no, 7-11s don't count.

If you're up to testing the theory and seeing if Fore Play is open 365 days a year, it's not a bad experiment.
