Report: People Traveling From Massachusetts To Maine Don’t Need To Quarantine Any Longer

This could be good news or bad news, depending on how you look at it. People who have relatives or friends in the two states may be relieved, especially if the quarantine has kept them from visiting their loved ones. WMTW is reporting that people who are traveling to Maine from Massachusetts don’t have to isolate themselves for 14 days, going forward. They are also exempt from the previous testing requirements, which mandated that state-to-state commuters must have proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

The news station says state officials looked at public health information about the "COVID-19 prevalence and positivity rate" in Massachusetts, and then made the decision.

Other New England states that are exempt are New Hampshire, Vermont, and Connecticut.
