You may remember the sign at the Second Baptist Church in Palermo, Maine that we shared with you that got a lot of attention with it's anti-gay message. Amid the controversy over the sign, someone took it upon themselves to change it.

The letters on the sign that originally read "Jesus Made Adam & Eve Not Adam & Steve" were vandalized by someone overnight Monday.

A pro life sign that the church placed beneath the sign was missing as well.

While many don't agree with the message the church is sending, they have every right to display it thanks to the First Amendment. However, changing the sign and removing the pro life sign is vandalism and theft.

According to News Center Maine, the Waldo County Sheriff's Department is seeking the public's help with any information about the person or people how committed the vandalism and theft. You can leave information anonymously at 1-800-660-3398.
