South Portland Police Join Kids For Some Night Sledding Fun
The only real guarantee when you work as a police officer is that you don't know what your shift will hold. It could be anything from patrolling a quiet neighborhood, a traffic stop here and there, to some really scary situations.
A couple of South Portland Police Officers responded to South Portland High School Monday evening after a 9-1-1 hang-up call was received.
Fortunately, it was determined that it was a call made in error and there wasn't anyone in need in the area. Instead of leaving, Officers Giusto and Edwards noticed a group of kids on the premises. They weren't kids up to no good, they were kids enjoying the Maine winter by going sledding.
And c'mon, who would pass up an opportunity to go sledding?!
In a world that seems to churn out bad news over and over again day after day, it's so nice to hear about some impromptu community fun.
