Popular Stonewall Kitchen Coming Back to Portland’s Old Port in Maine

It's only been a couple of years, and Stonewall Kitchen is back in Portland's Old Port!

The specialty food producer started by two Mainers and based in York plans to reopen a retail store back in Portland's Old Port on Commercial Street, next to Black Dog General Store.

According to Mainebiz, it's opening in mid-June. They had a spot on Middle Street in Portland's Old Port for 24 years, and were sorely missed when they shut down in early 2022. The building was going through some major renovations, and Stonewall Kitchen would have lost square footage with the remodel. They put out the call for anyone who knew of other storefronts in the Old Port they could move into! Mainebiz quoted spokeswoman Janine Somers in February of 2022,

We love having a store in Portland. We’ve been here for 24 years, and we are hoping to find a new storefront soon. We encourage anyone to let us know if you hear of a great space. We really want to stay in the Old Port!

Look for Stonewall to open on Commercial Street with double the space of their old store. They made the exciting announcement on their Facebook page!
