People of the 04074, this is not a drill. Scarborough is about to get a whole lot holier with the expansion of The Holy Donut to the town.

In March the now vacant Tim Horton's building on route 1 will be the epicenter for Maine's best donut. The 3,000-square-foot space, which has a drive-through let's remember, will be the company’s central location for production. The bigger location means more of the delicious donuts, which will still be cooked fresh at their Park Avenue and Exchange Street locations daily as well. The move will allow the company to expand production and reach more customers south of Portland. The owner, Leigh Kellis, signed the lease this past Monday saying that they have outgrown their Park Ave shop and need more space.

After a complete remodeling of the building she plans to hire 10-15 employees and expand the menu to include espresso drinks, including lattes in the drive through, featuring Coffee By Design.
