The New Sandwich Spot in Monument Square Puts Chips in a Sandwich…Finally, Someone Gets It

When everyone in the office heard Monument Square would be getting a new sandwich spot, we were instantly excited. Lunch breaks now have one more option for food just steps away from the studio doors.

HERO is owned by the same folks who bless us with the Mashed Potato Bacon Scallion pizza at OTTO, the ridiculously good burritos at OCHO, and the super popular Chinese at Empire Chinese Kitchen. HERO is a Rotisserie with a selection of sandwiches, salads, and other meals prepared with rotisserie chicken, pork, beef, and veggie options.

A pal and I ordered the Chicken & Chip and Chicken Salad (we couldn't decide what we wanted and agreed to share). I was most excited that the first sandwich on the menu included CHIPS as an ingredient. I love putting chips in my sandwiches so HERO saved me a step.

The chips are housemade and are perfectly crispy. The real star of the sandwich other than the rotisserie chicken, in my opinion, is the chewy French bread roll.

The next time I go I need to sample the Brussels Slaw and Roasted Brussels. I'm the world's biggest Brussels sprouts fan.

You can see into the studio windows from the seating at HERO which means I'll be dining at this place quite a bit.
