This Hilariously Simple Trick Could Deter Seagull Theft
bought a $21 lobster roll and held it up for a picturesque insta pic in front of a lighthouse only to be thwarted by a greedy seagull who swooped down and swiped it right out of her hand.
Luckily, researchers in Britain may have discovered a deterrent method for hangry seagulls. According to their study, there is a simple trick to intimidating birds with very little effort, hopefully saving your lunch.
All you gotta do, researchers suggest, is stare those greedy fowl down. That's right; spot the seagull as it begins to close in and make intense eye contact. Don't break eye contact until that bird gets too paranoid to stick around and hightails it outta there!
Does it work every single time? Perhaps not. Will you still potentially suffer from the occasional dive-bombing gull incident? Probably. But why not try the only trick we've discovered gets some results? Stare. Them. Down. Good luck!
