This is NOT a Chinese Puzzle Box. Truly Awkward Moment – What’s Yours?

This is NOT a Chinese puzzle box.  What is a Chinese puzzle box?  I had several as a kid and loved them.  You can watch one being opened here.   This box is my best friends beloved dead dog Stella.  And that's where the awkwardness began. 

At a Christmas party, I was admiring some of Wayne and Scott's (my girlfriends) decorations.  There was a lot going on in the room - thank God - and no one saw me pick up the box and ask, "Hey! Is this a Chinese puzzle box?" I tried and tried to open it.  I was pushing on the wood, and thinking..."Ooooo, this is a tough one!"

That's when I turned the box upside down and saw Stella's name and realized it was her ashes!  I immediately put the box down and looked around to see if anyone saw me. I was mortified.  Has anyone else had an awkward moment that can beat that?
