Tom Brokaw’s Cell Phone Goes Off During Live Election Coverage [VIDEO]

Election coverage without Tom Brokaw is like peanut butter without jelly. It just wouldn't be right. He's been doing it for almost my entire life. In all those years though this has never happened.

As he's talking all seriously about the election his cell phone went off. And it wasn't just a ringtone or lighthearted sound. It was that blaring alarm sound like a submarine makes when it's preparing to dive.

I'd chalk this up to Tom being 74 and in semi-retired mode, but let's be honest, we've all done it. Just this morning, my phone went off during the show.
