Two Cats In New York State Positive For COVID 19

According to the CDC Website, two cats in upstate new have tested positive for COVID-19.

The felines both live in separate towns, and just like the tigers from a few weeks ago, they both experienced symptoms of an upper respiratory infection.

The CDC Guidelines say that if a person is diagnosed with COVID 19, they should refrain from interaction with people and pets and seek alternative care for their furry companions.

They also recommend the following: 

• Do not let pets interact with people or other animals outside the household.
• Keep cats indoors when possible to prevent them from interacting with other animals or people.
• Walk dogs on a leash, maintaining at least 6 feet from other people and animals.
• Avoid dog parks or public places where a large number of people and dogs gather.
