What Do 8 OB Nurses at Maine Medical Center Have in Common?

These eight nurses at Maine Med's Labor and Delivery unit posed for a photo that shows the coincidence of all ironies. I'm not sure if it's coincidence or irony so I covered all the bases there.

These nurses help bring new babies into the world every day and all eight of them are pregnant with their own!

From left to right, their due dates are April 16, April 18, May 5, May 26, June 4, June 11, June 16, June 29 and July something we couldn't make out. And this isn't all of them! There's a ninth nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit who is also pregnant!

We aren't sure how many nurses staff the unit, but we're guessing Maine Med is going to need to hire a few temps soon as this nurses start going on maternity leave.

And will they have their babies at Maine Med? Not everyone can say they delivered a baby at work. That would have to be a little awkward.
