What the Hell Does This Dream Mean?

I have a recurring theme. It's not really the same dream, but it's got a theme and I've been dreaming it for over 20 years.

For over 20 years I have dreamt of being in a house (unfamiliar and big) and trying to find my way around. There are many rooms, stairs, and it just goes on and on. Sometimes it reminds me of the place I grew up. Sometimes it's just a big house with many, many rooms.

Sometimes it's a hotel. I can't seem to ever find my room.

Sometimes it's a school, and I can't find my way out or find my classroom in time.

Either way, for decades I have been dreaming this theme. The places are always oddly familiar and oddly unfamiliar. I'm sorta scared, but mostly frustrated and in a hurry.

What the hell does that mean and why would I dream that for decades?
