This winter, more than ever, people are craving outdoor activities. People want to get out of their homes and ice skating is a great option this time of year.

Towns and cities all across the state are putting in the work to provide ice rink access to residents.

Augusta Parks and Recreation have one at Mill Park...

...as well as behind the Buker Community Center where they converted the basketball court!

In Bath Goddards Pond is the go-to for skating fun. Bath Parks and Recreation are keeping an eye on the ice and roping off areas deemed unsafe.

Bath is also home to the Legion Field Ice Rink on Congress Ave. This rink is perfect for little ones learning how to skate!

In Lyman enjoy a brew and a skate at Funky Bow Brewery and Beer Company.

Saco Parks and Recreation brought back the rink at the Saco Recreation Complex off Route 112.

Portland is home, of course, to the beautiful Rink at Thompsons Point.

If you're down in Scarborough they offer a rink at 20 Municipal Drive.

South Berwick has a rink that's coming along nicely.

South Portland is home to The Wainwright Ice Rink.

York Parks and Recreation's Rink by the River offers a schedule so there's time for everyone.

Before making your plans to visit make sure you do your homework! With the weather being unseasonably warm as of late not all of them are completely safe so they may not be open. Some are only open to town residents.

Happy skating!
