Listen, I will be the first person to brag on the part of the country we are lucky enough to live in. New England is the bee's knees! We have the mountains, ocean, lake, woods, wildlife, city, and historical landmarks. And if you really wanted to, you could see one of each of those things in one day.
However. when I hear the word "resort", New England isn't the first place that comes to mind.
When I hear resort, I think about a place that is 75 degrees 365 days a year. I think about an island filled with Tiki bars where you can order fun drinks that are served in coconuts. But what the heck do I know?
According to Boston.com, some of the best resorts in the country are right here in New England.
The site states that a publication called U.S. News & World Report just came out with their annual list of hotel rankings where they evaluated over 30,000 luxury hotels and resorts across the U.S.
The site said Twin Farms in Bernard, Vermont, (which I admittedly have never heard of) came in at number 11. NOT TOO SHABBY!
Twin Farms is located 80 miles southeast of one of my favorite cities, Burlington VT. According to the site, It is an adult only resort with just 20 rooms on the property. How quaint! Guests can enjoy downhill skiing, canoeing, spa services, fine wine, and really great charcuterie boards. Did someone say Vermont cheddar?!

Which resort came in at #1 do you ask? Well, the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii of course! (Which according to Expedia will set you back around $1,500 a night. Ouch.)
