18-Year-Old UMaine Football Player Dies at Practice

Darius Minor collapsed on the field at Alfond Stadium in Orono and passed away at practice.

Darius is from Virginia and was at a 'supervised light workout' according to the Portland Press Herald. No one could revive him. He was one of 17 first-year students at this practice. He was a political science major.

Obviously, the football program is grieving along with the University of Maine - Orono.

There is no word on why Darius collapsed, and ultimately lost his life.
