I've been lucky enough to call the state of Maine my home for the last 8 years which has been really beautiful...during the summer. Once winter decides to knock us all on our you-know-whats it's game over for my mental health and I bet it's the same for you.

What is the coldest temperature recorded in Maine?

-50 degrees. According to wgme, On January 16, 2009 at the Big Black River located in Big Black, Maine, about 20 miles south of Allagash and near the Quebec border.

1️⃣ Heated anything. My new favorite party trick is my electric hand warmer. Heated seats in your car, heated vests and jackets, heated blankets, whatever it is Maine finds a way to make it heated because we're brilliant.

2️⃣ Snow tires. I know they're expensive but guess what's more expensive? Your entire car if you slide off the roads that never seem to be plowed correctly hehe.

3️⃣ Alcohol. Drink away the coldness with your friends. Make memories but don't get in trouble. Try some infamous Allen's Brandy...we love it here.
