All You Can Eat Ice Cream! Get Your Tickets Today!

You may think fireworks when you think about the 4th of July, but you should think ice cream! All you can eat ice cream!

During The Stars and Stripes Spectacular they are bringing back the 4th annual 'Scoops for Kids'.

The 4th Annual Scoops for Kids ice cream festival will happen July 4th, from 4PM to 7PM on the Eastern Prom. Proceeds will benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in Maine and the event is presented by Mercy.

Advance tickets can be purchased at all Coffee By Design locations in Portland,Rosemont Market and Bakery locations, Quirk Chevrolet at 1000 Brighton Ave, Portland, Red Mango or through Mercy Hospital by calling 207.879.3605.

Tickets are only 5 dollars and oh, it's awesome! I did this last year and I was like a stuffed walrus.

Which leads me to the topic of ice cream. Guess what I just read is coming? Nutella Ice Cream! It's available now and then gone September 30th! I think I would very much like to go to there.

Of course this leads me to think about my favorite flavors. I am a pretty easy going ice cream lover. I will eat pretty much anything, but here are priorities for me:

• peanut butter
• caramel
• nuts
• fudge
• strawberry cheesecake pieces

Here's what I'm not a huge fan of in my ice cream. Pieces of candy. For instance, I would rather have a swirl of actual peanut butter than pieces of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. That could just be me. But I'm okay with that.
