I'm not sure how much you want to spend on a first-class ticket on Delta, but if you're willing to cough up the dough, you could enjoy a delicious Shake Shack burger if you fly first-class out of Boston starting December 1.

What's Shake Shack?

If you're like me and have never heard of Shake Shack, it began as a hot dog cart inside Madison Square Park in New York in 2001 and became a hit quickly. In 2004 Shake Shack opened a permanent kiosk in the park, and added to the menu, serving not just hot dogs, but hamburgers, fries, and the famous shakes that the business is named after. Today they have 400 locations all over the world.

The nearest one to people in Maine is in the Tuscan Village shopping area in Salem, New Hampshire, and Shake Shake has yet to open any locations north of there. But if you fly out of Boston, Delta has you covered.

What Your First-Class Ticket Will Get You From Shake Shack

If you pay for a first-class ticket out of Boston on Delta Airlines, you'll get to pre-select a Shake Shack Cheeseburger as your meal option. The Shake Shack Cheeseburger is a 100% Angus beef patty, topped with cheese and served on a toasted potato bun. You can top it with tomato, lettuce, and Shake Shack’s famous ShackSauce, which is all served on the side. You also get chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie.

What's Missing?

The two things you won't get are french fries and a Shake Shack shake. Try saying that three times fast.

I'm sure there are some flight restrictions or something like that, but if you aren't getting the Shake in Shake Shack, I think you're missing out. Maybe save yourself some money and fly coach and bring snacks in your carry-on. It's just a shame that this is for first-class only. If you do want to fly first-class, Shake Shack burgers will be available on flights from Boston on December 1.
