Lisa DeBlois Eid was a remarkable woman whose life was cut too short.

WGME CBS13 did an incredible tribute to Lisa mentioning that Dave Eid hasn't been on television for a few weeks. He had been caring for Lisa, who for seven years battled Stage-4 non-smokers lung cancer. She lost her battle this past weekend. But she fought hard, becoming an outspoken advocate for research and treatment. Even taking her fight to Washington, D.C. to talk to members of Congress.

Dave is a powerhouse and a household name...but so was Lisa. She left a career in Boston as a hairstylist to return to Maine and to be with Dave. Lisa came from a well-known family in Lewiston. She was the famous one in the house for many years.

Dave and Lisa got married in 1996, making this year their 25th year of marriage. There is no nicer man on this planet than Dave Eid. If you know him, or his family (Drew and Danielle) - please know that their hearts are very heavy right now. There is a hole that will never fully heal...

Services for Lisa will be held later this week.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Androscoggin Hospice or the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine.
