The First F45 Training in Maine is Opening Soon in Westbrook
What is F45?
The F stands for Functional Training and as you likely guessed, the 45 is for the length of each workout, 45 minutes.
What makes F45 unique is their approach to group training plus industry-leading technology.
With the focus on Functional Training, you'll recreate movements that aren't unlike the movements you make in everyday life. Does it take you a while to stand back up after dropping your pen? Think squats. Movements that target your whole body.
F45 has a massive database of exercises and each class is a different combination of them. This means you'll likely never do the same workout twice.
Each workout is a combination of cardio and strength training. If you're a newbie, no worries. Before each class one of the on-staff trainers will walk you through each exercise and once things get going you can modify as needed. So it doesn't matter if you haven't done anything athletic since little league, or if you regularly workout anyway. All are welcome and given the opportunity to thrive.
Technology
You'll notice the F45TVs throughout the training center. The TVs will guide you through the workouts and display the exercise you need to be doing at that particular station.
You can also snag one of the F45 Lionheart monitors to track your stats and heart rate that is fully integrated with the F45TVs.
Schedule and Cost
F45 is open 7 days a week. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday the workouts are focused on Cardio. Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday is focused on resistance, and Saturday is a hybrid of the two.
The cost of F45 can vary as each training center is independently owned but most numbers online indicate approximately $200 a month for unlimited classes.
Westbrook
No official opening date has been announced yet, but the goal is by the summer. They're moving into Westbrook Crossing between the old Ruby Tuesday's and SuperCuts where Carter's used to be.
