Here’s a Free, Cute Family Christmas Activity In Westbrook, Maine
It feels like the moment I wake up I spend at least $200 by the time I leave work. That's the world we live in today and we've just gotta sit over here and accept it apparently. OR, we can come up with little cutesie things to do that don't cost a dime for some holiday serotonin. I'm choosing the holiday serotonin. You probably already thought about this, but let me remind you how blissful it is just to go for a holiday stroll.
As a new resident of Westbrook, I've been adoring all the holiday lights the city has put up on street lamps, bridges, bars, and everywhere else in-between. I've never seen anything like it, not even in downtown Portland, it's awesome. It's like having our own little holiday stroll walk in the middle of our city. My friends and I have been taking night time strolls with hot chocolate in a thermos (which may or may not have peppermint schnapps in it), and just walking around the Brook finding more Christmas lights and trees. We've seen families starting to do it as well, bringing strollers and hand warmers and wearing Santa hats to add to the fun. The best part is.. it's completely free! Since the sun goes down at like 4p.m. your "night time stroll" is really an early evening stroll where you can still go home, make dinner and get to bed early.
