First Drag Show Ever in Dover-Foxcroft Sells Out, Second Show Added

It's the first drag show in Piscataquis County and it sold out within a week. A second show has been added!

The Bangor Daily News reported that Delicious Drag Divas out of Bangor will be at the Center Theater in Dover-Foxcroft on April 15. DDD was founded in Bangor by Lloyd Tracy and his husband Tony, who is also LaDonya Lovelace.

This 18+ show (spicy language and costumes) has had a lot of support, but of course, some are negative. According to BDN, Center Theater got a voicemail and a few emails, and Facebook messages from people against the drag show.

One person even started a Facebook group calling for a drag-free Dover-Foxcroft urging people to fight,

...against the sickening ideologies that are accepted as ‘inclusive'.

Obviously this ignorance comes from someone who has never been to a drag show. Because if they had been, they'd know that it's one of the most entertaining, funny, and wild experiences. It's just pure fun! There's a place in NYC called Lips, where I went with friends to celebrate a birthday. Amazing!

Haters gonna hate, but obviously, this has generated enough interest that a second show has been added!

The second show is selling well. It's at 6 p.m. on April, 29 at the Center Theatre on Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft. You will need to be at least 18 and there will be alcohol available.  Tickets are only $15.

These shows and these entertainers will probably not change anyone's mind if it's set to think this is disgusting. But if you are in the Dover-Foxcroft area looking for a super fun night...get yourself some friends and tickets!
