So if apple picking isn't quite your thing and you're not really in the business of being scared until you can't sleep at night, there's another fall-themed activity that might be right up your alley. Corn mazes. In other parts of the country, corn mazes are all the rage, similar to fair season here in Maine. But over the past decade or so, some farms and orchards have really upped their game and are busting out some seriously incredible corn mazes, including the one you'll find this year at the Treworgy Family Farm in Levant.

Just outside of Bangor, plan your road trip to check out this monster corn maze that the family has named "Corn Ships Ahoy". The Treworgy Family Farm corn maze has been recognized by USA Today as one of the best in the country, and judging on some of the other themes they've delivered in the past, it's worth the drive from wherever you are in Maine.

Not only that, for select nights in October, the Treworgy family opens the maze at night, to add a little of that creepiness to your maze adventure. It's always family friendly however, and affordable for those looking for fall fun on a budget.
