61,000 Christmas Light in Hebron, Maine, Closed After Powerful Storm
The storm forced Dan's Lights to close shop for 2023.
Dan Powell loves decorating his property for Christmas. This year, he had nearly 61,000 lights covering trees, sheds, fences, everything! And it was all free for those who wanted to make the drive to Hebron, Maine.
But this powerful storm racing through Maine with winds, rain, and power outages destroyed his gorgeous display. He had to make the sad announcement on Facebook, saying,
It is with great frustration and sadness that I have to relay the message that Dan's Lights is done for 2023. We have sustained unrepairable damage. The only thing that might still be on after today is the lights on the house and possibly the brown shed side of the forest of lights. The white shed side is completely decimated. Please share this post as I have people coming from all over the state to see this display and I do not want them to be disappointed.
Dan's Lights have become legendary! No wonder people travel from all over to see the hard work this Christmas-loving dad puts together every year.
Help spread the word that Dan's Lights in Hebron is canceled for the season.
Dan's display has gotten a lot of attention this year, and people from all over have been enjoying his displays that he starts putting together in October. So please share this, as he doesn't want anyone traveling far and be disappointed.
Dan, Mother Nature may have won this round, but I know that you will be back next year bigger and better. We'll all be there!
