‘Highlights’ Magazine (Hidden Pictures!) Does Something for First Time in 70 Years

Remember “Highlights”, the magazine for kids that you still see in doctors’ offices everywhere? Well, they just stepped into the 21st century...

The magazine did something in the new February issue it has never done before in it's 70 year history. It shows a drawing of a family with two dads, the first representation of a same-sex relationship in the publication’s 70-year history.

It seems like no big deal, but Highlights had been criticized heavily just months ago for not showing gay couples, and then bashed for agreeing to do so.

Good for you Highlights.The more we see same sex couples, the less shocking and controversial it will become. By the way, Goofus hates it, Gallant loves it.
