How to Make 8-Bit Art With Your Kids [VIDEO]
Last weekend my son Jake and I made 8-bit art on an office window to surprise our digital managing editor, and he had a blast! There was some planning involved in this fun project, but overall it's very easy to do.
Depending on what you want to make, you'll need a LOT of Post-It notes. We bought ours at Staples and they had a pretty decent collection. The only problem is you can't buy them one pack at a time. They typically come in packs of at least four, but they do have assorted color pack so if you're lucky, you might find most of the colors you need bundled in one pack.
You also might have a hard time finding every color you want. You can either substitute a similar color (we used yellow instead of white in the flower) or you can try to order your color online. The Post-It note website lists every color they make and provided links to where you can buy.
So if you're looking for a fun project with your kids or the video game geek in your house, try making your own 8-bit art. Here are some helpful links to get you started.
