If You Love Wieners The Maine Wiener Fest Is For You

This Sunday is the 15th anniversary of Maine Wiener Fest. A celebration of the beloved dachshund dogs and the people who own them with all proceeds going to P.A.W.S. animal adoption center.

The party happens in Belfast from 11am to 3pm at Steamboat Landing Park. The cost is just $3, kids under 12, and dogs get in free. Some of the events that day include the Grand Parade of Dachshunds, a canine costume contest and the Doxie derby. There will be a wiener cook-off contest as will several raffles. Food will be available and there will be pet related vendors.
