This past Thursday morning, the legendary L.L.Bean in Freeport, Maine, shared abundant love and comfort to educators in Lewiston.

According to WMTW, L.L.Bean surprised Lewiston teachers with a special gift for their dedication throughout the aftermath of that terrible day.

This took place at a sendoff event for the educators, where each staff member received an L.L.Bean throw blanket as a lovely token of gratitude. These gorgeous blankets are embroidered with a little heart over Lewiston on a big map of Maine.

This clearly symbolizes the endless support that educators provided all of the children in the community during such a challenging time.

Doing these events, continuing to remember what happened and giving love to those who have been affected is so important. As a Lewiston resident, I am inspired by this event and the impact that L.L.Bean made.

Superintendent Jake Langlais told WMTW that  L.L.Bean donated roughly $40,000 in blankets, saying,

We're very appreciative of the Gorman family and L.L. Bean who said, how can we help? And we had this idea of trying to send people off with something warm kind of embrace like that, that is what they did for our community when we went back to school immediately after the terrible events back in October.
