Maine Gay Men’s Chorus Seeks New Members

Can you tap dance? How about sing? If you can do either, or are secretly keen on learning, you will be delighted to find out that CentralMaine recently announced auditions for open positions in the Maine Gay Men's Chorus.

I'm not personally a man, gay or otherwise (both of whom are welcome to join the group, according to their FAQ page) so I won't be auditioning. However, I do intend to scope out their tap numbers and enjoy their sweet sweet melodies at their upcoming concert in June!

The three-day performance, titled “Do You Hear the People Sing?” Songs of Love, Hope and Resistance, features two tap numbers and premieres June 14th at the Portland Players Theater in South Portland, according to CentralMaine.
