Maine #TBT Video: Bar Harbor Lobster Fisherman & OOB in 1929

This Throwback Thursday, we've got another old Maine home movie. Filmed by Howard Kane, travel along the coast of Maine off Bar Harbor, and watch fisherman catch lobster, herring and weir in Frenchman's Bay. You can also see Old Orchard Beach and its amusements.

Northeast Historic Film (NHF) is a moving image archive, incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1986. They are located in the Alamo Theatre, a 1916 cinema building, in Bucksport, Maine. NHF's mission is to collect and preserve the film and video record of northern New England (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts), and to provide public access to the history and culture of the region embodied in it.
