New Hampshire’s Adam Sandler Just Made Netflix History
Adam Sandler Netflix Movies
For decades now, Adam Sandler has been cranking out hilarious movie after hilarious movie, whether it was classics like Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore in the '90s or Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2 in the 2010s.
But for the last handful of movies that The Sandman has released -- Murder Mystery, Murder Mystery 2, Hustle, Uncut Gems, etc. -- they've been dropped exclusively as Netflix Originals, the latest of which just dropped a couple of weeks ago and has already made Netflix history.
Leo on Netflix
Dropping just before Thanksgiving, Adam Sandler's newest Netflix movie, an animated comedy named Leo, made Netflix history not only in less than a month since it dropped, but in its first week available for streaming on the service.
According to not only Variety but the Netflix Diaries page on Facebook as well, Leo made Netflix history as the biggest debut ever for an animated film on Netflix, bringing in 34.6 million views. The movie is still hugely popular, sitting comfortably at the top of the Netflix Global Top 10 list, in the #1 spot at the time of this writing.
Adam Sandler 2024 Movies
As of this writing, the only planned drop for Adam Sandler on Netflix in 2024 is his upcoming movie Spaceman, which sees Adam's character taking part on a mission to Venus and leaving his pregnant wife behind. According to Screen Rant, the movie is based on a 2017 novel called Spaceman of Bohemia.
With The Sandman also almost setting a Netflix record earlier this year with You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah -- which stars his two daughters, Sunny and Sadie, and his wife Jackie -- and eventually doing it with the aforementioned Leo, there's a solid chance we'll see one of New Hampshire's favorite sons set more records on Netflix in 2024.
